Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performing routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests under minimal supervision

  • Insuring accurate and reliable test results by adhering to a strict quality control program

  • n
  • Performing instrument function checks and preventative maintenance according to the department's policies and procedures

  • n
  • Maintaining records and statistical data according to regulative requirements

  • n
  • Training new employees and students on laboratory policies and procedures

  • n
  • Assisting as needed in all laboratory areas as required to maintain appropriate patient care

Key qualifications to be considered for this include:

  • n
  • Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required

  • n
  • ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification preferred

  • n
